Family Ceilidh, Grassmarket Centre, 21st Oct

Old Town Community Council supports the great work undertaken by GRASS and the Grassmarket Community Project, for the people who live in and around Grassmarket (for more details, please read on). GRASS and the Grassmarket Community Project need money to continue the good work.

OTCC is delighted to promote the not-to-be-missed Fundraising Family Ceilidh Night being organized by GRASS and the Grassmarket Community Project.

The Fundraising Family Ceilidh Night will take place at the Grassmarket Centre, 86 Candlemaker Row, on Saturday 21st October, 7.30 – 11.30pm. Tickets are available here.

GRASS is a community group that fosters good community relations, organises local events, encourages sustainable improvements and engages with planning and development issues that affect Grassmarket and the streets leading off it.

Grassmarket Community Project runs 5 social enterprises and over 30 FREE activities each week aimed at reducing social isolation, improving people’s physical and mental wellbeing and helping them feel part of the community. To many, Grassmarket Community Project is their family. The project is open 7 days a week and 362 days a year – last year they provided over 8,500 free meals including a weekly soup kitchen service targeted at homeless and roughsleeping people or people who have no recourse to public funds.
